Girard Perregaux Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition ###

Introducing the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition: Limited, Lightweight, and Built for Performance

Girard-Perregaux has been doing its thing for well over two centuries, and in that time, the brand has seen its fair share of collaborations. But in the past few years, its partnership with Aston Martin has produced some of the more interesting crossovers in the watch world. Now, with the release of the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition, GP leans harder into the motorsport theme than ever before, bringing a titanium-clad, racing-green-infused Laureato to the grid.

The Juice

Housed in a 44mm Grade 5 titanium case, this edition of the Laureato Absolute is built for performance, mirroring the ethos of its automotive counterpart. If you’re familiar with titanium, you know the drill: lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant—ideal for a sports watch. The case is sandblasted, which not only gives it a subtle texture but also helps it avoid that overly polished or shiny look that can sometimes make a watch feel too precious to wear.

From a design perspective, it sticks to the Laureato DNA—angular, aggressive, and purpose-driven—while still showing restraint. The 300-meter water resistance means this isn’t just a track-day accessory; it’s a legitimate tool watch, even if you never plan on taking it past the paddock.

The dial is unmistakably Aston Martin Racing Green, a hue that’s become synonymous with the British marque’s F1 efforts. It is hard to describe the effect/finish of the dial, but it seems to have an almost sandblasted look that compluments the sandblasted case extremely well.

The skeletonized hands—a nod to Aston’s front grilles—are filled with lume, and the lime-green accents (like the central seconds hand and the date display) bring in that unmistakable F1 livery touch. It’s bold but not excessive, which is a fine line that plenty of automotive-inspired watches fail to walk.

Ticking away inside is GP’s in-house GP03300-1060 movement, a self-winding caliber with a 46-hour power reserve. Girard-Perregaux has long been about keeping things in-house, and that continues here. While it would have been nice to see an exhibition caseback to admire the movement’s finishing, the solid caseback does feature the Aston Martin logo, tying it back to the collaboration.

The watch comes on a green FKM rubber strap is a standout. It is integrated into the case, which I always prefer. It is fitted with a titanium folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system, which is a welcome addition—because nothing kills a good watch-wearing experience like a strap that doesn’t fit quite right.

Final Thoughts

So, where does this one land in the ever-growing field of automotive-inspired watches? Unlike many co-branded releases that feel like a logo-stamping exercise, this one actually leans into its inspiration with a sense of purpose. It’s bold but wearable, modern but not sterile. If you’re into the F1 world, the Aston Martin brand, or just like a properly designed sports watch with solid specs, this one’s worth a look. But, with just 88 units available, that look will have to be a quick one.
